WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU CONTACT OUR SERVICE?
We provide a free and confidential service to give you an opportunity to explore
problems you may be having in your relationship.
We will arrange a once-off assessment visit with you at a place that is safe and
assessable for you.
We will offer you further follow up appointments, court accompaniment and referrals to
other agencies as needed.
We will accompany you to other relevant agencies as needed
We provide telephone support should you require assistance between appointments
DO I HAVE TO PAY?
Our services are free although donations are welcome if you can afford to do so.
WHAT DO WE MEAN BY A CONFIDENTIAL SERVICE?
Our staff are trained to guarantee a high level of confidentiality.
We will not reveal your identity or speak to any other service unless you give us
permission to do so.
We will not disclose whether you use our service to anyone unless you request us to do
We do not engage with partners of women who approach our service for help. The
exception to confidentiality is where a report of child abuse is made. Under Children First
Guidelines, we are obliged to report incidents of child abuse to the HSE
We will do our best to protect your anonymity and ensure no other client knows you are
using our service.
We stagger appointments to ensure you will not meet other clients.
We see clients strictly by appointment.
HOW LONG WILL I NEED SUPPORT ?
Clients can choose to avail of short-term assistance to deal with a presenting issue, a
practical issue or avail of once off emotional support. Most clients avail of ongoing
support throughout the process of dealing with domestic violence.
